Tool, EPEAT is a procurement tool designed to help large volume
purchasers in the public and private sectors evaluate, compare, and select
desktop computers, notebooks and monitors based on their environmental
attributes. Manufacturers use an online registration process to identify which
criteria each of their products meets. Products are then listed on the EPEAT
database.
